CIVIC PROGRESS IS KIWANIS CLUB TOPIC "Selling Salt Lake to Salt Lakers" was the subject of Dr. Charles G, Plummer. Kiwanis club speaker at the luncheon at the Nowliousc hotel yesterday. Vr. 1 'I u miner's taik marked the' first of the addresses being made throughout the city by members of the speakers' bureau of the Commercial club. He reviewed the industrial and civic work being carried on and told of the scenic wonders of Salt Lake and the state. Karl J. Glade was chairman. Chief W. H. Fywater Of the fire department, de-partment, in a brief talk, called attention atten-tion to the importance of the fire prevention pre-vention campaign which will open in Salt Lake next month. He urged that all members of the Kiwanis club attend the fire prevention luncheon to be held this noon at the commercial ciuo. Members of the club donated $7.;'5 to aid the survivors of the Corpus Chrlstl hurricane and flood disaster. The money will be dfspatched immediately to ihe scene of the disaster to aid In relieving i he homeless.
