Memorial services he-Id at the tabernacle at 8 o'clock this evening concluded the tributes of respect jaid to departed comrades by tho vet-' vet-' eran? of three wars. t' The services loniyht included music numbers in addition to addresses by Captain Cap-tain hi. T- Huianl-kl for the Grand Army of the Republic; John D. Murphy for the Spanish War veterans, and the Rev. J. E. Carver for the American Legion. The observance held today by the soldiers sol-diers of, the three wars consisted of a vi;:t to the cemeteries, where the graves t.-.-q derorat:d and a trip to the (i;den river, where flowers were cast upon the Wfi ters for t ho:-;c of the navy who made .sm.-remn tsarrifice and the boys of the army who died at sea. Memorial day was generally observed by the people of the city. The cemeteries in tho city a nd county were thronged n ost of the day by those paying tributes of respect to the memory of departed loved ones. Tho members of tho Japanese colony of tho city and county joined in the ob-; rservance of the day, for the first time in! the history of the city.
