Show MINERS' OF M . HO CONFERENCES Vote on Question of Strike Will Be Taken in District Dis-trict Tomorrow-special Tomorrow-special to The Tribune. EUREKA, May 18. Decision to take a strike vote Tuesday among miners of the Tintic district was reached this after-j after-j noon by 102 men from the various prop-i prop-i erties, who met at Summit station, one i mile east of the city limits. The influ- enza ban prevented holding the meeting 1 within the city. The workers voted to cast referendum ballots after reports had been made by some of the committeemen elected at the various mines to present alleged grievances griev-ances to the operators to the effect that the latter had refused to concede any- thing at this time. The operators declare that the demands de-mands of the men are the result of the work of the L. W. W. organization. The workers ask a wage increase amounting to 75 cents a day; that they be lowered into and raised from the mines on the time of the company; that the "rustling card" be done away with, and that there be no discrimination against members of any organization. Peter Hood, a leaser of the Chief Consolidated mine, workers and other representative citizens were active in arranging for the proposed meeting. Alleging that ihe meeting at Summit station had not been given adequate publicity, pub-licity, and that it was unknown to most oT the citizens of the town,, TTr.
