Show I PAYMASTER JOB IS RELINQUISHED Duncan & Moore have relinquished their contract for the sinking of the Tintic Paymaster shaft, the work being taken over by the company, according" to th Kureka Reporter. It appears that the pumping- equipment has been giving some trouble, and the contractors felt that they could accomplish but little. The shaft Is down a distp.nce of about 330 feet, and the flow of water is said to be diminishing. A reservoir has been constructed con-structed on the 320 level, and the water is lifted to this point and thence to the surface, where much of It is needed for general mining purposes. |
