COUNTY MEET TOTJAY Lively Contests Are Promised Prom-ised in Race for Various Vari-ous Offices. For the state senate the Democratic legislative convention last night nominated nomi-nated George H. Dcrn and Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Hay-ward for the long terms and Allen T. Sanford a.nd J. W. McKinney for the short terms. Before the convention for the senate were also the names of A. F. Rund-quist, Rund-quist, D. W. Moffett, P. W. Parratt, F. E. Morris and Walter Perry Kirksey. For the lower house the convention named C. C. Richards. Frank Ii. Newman, New-man, Arthur Welling, R. F. Currie. Mrs. Anna T. Picrcey, Mrs. Gould B. Blakely, Francis W. Quinn, John Hanson, F. E. Morris and Mrs. Grace Stratton-Airey. In addition to these, the convention considered the names of H. S. McOann, 0. G. Patterson, Charles Gulbrarsen, Daniel Harrington, W. J. McLaughlin, Ernest S. Holmes, D. W. Parratt, Imer Pett. A. E. Harvey and A. F. Rund- quist. C. C. Richards was chairman of the eonvntion, and declared that, in selecting select-ing men for the legislature and for all thp time to select neither Germans nor friends of Germans. Ger-mans. On the eve of the Democratic county convention the politicaJ "weather" forecaster fore-caster has hoisted the storm signal as a warning of -what is likely to lreak at the garnering at the Hippodrome today.
