Greene, field agent for marketing in Utah, has begun a survey of wheat conditions in t he state, especially a a they apply to i'arm- ers. Many of the farmers are. said to be facing a peculiar predicament. They have wheat on hand, hut, in view of the fact that t he gro:;t'-r part of thn mills are supplied with grain enough to last them for a long period, and thn further fact t hat cars a re not available, avail-able, they are unable to dispose of their surplus. It is the purpose of tlie survey being made by Mr. (Ireene tn determine the, nuunint of wheat held by the fanners for sale and to find a market for it. He also will investigate the mills in order to learn if they can do anything to relieve t lie si tuat ion which many of the, farmers are facing. If it is found that the mills and elevators of the state are unable to afford af-ford relief to the farmers it is probable prob-able that the fond administration grain corporation will be asked to purchase the Furplus.
