Factories of Ogden will hold "open house" on Friday, instead of making a special display downtown. Tn this way the visitors from out of town and also the citizens of Ogden will have an opportunity oppor-tunity to inspect a number of the larger plants of the city and see them in operation opera-tion with complete forces. The factories that have announced their intention to take fart in this part of the programme are the American Can company, Utah Canning1 company. Ogden Packing & Provision Pro-vision company, Everfresh Food company, Utah Cereal Food company, Goddard Pickle & Preserve company and John SVoweroft & Sons company. As special amusement attractions, arrangements ar-rangements are under way for an automobile auto-mobile vac a between Utah T-lot Springs and Ogden. a wild west show to be held on Saturday, fireworks display on Friday Fri-day evening, Illumination of the mountains moun-tains by searchlight each evening, "jitney" "jit-ney" dances conducted by the festival committees each night, three roller-skating roller-skating races on Friday afternoon, marathon, mara-thon, race on Friday afternoon, greased piir and greased pole contests, band concerts con-certs by five bands throughout the three days, with others yet in prospect. To Decorate Streets. The entire business district of the city will be a-ayly decorated and brilliantly illuminated tor the festival, many of the stores joining in the decoration plans both by illuminating store fronts and also by placing trimmings of patriotic colors. There will be a window display contest with special awards and a novel search for "hidden" money ground the windows. The committee's plan has been to have "something doing" every minute from S o'clock in the morning to midnight from i the day of the opening. Thursday, until the clocks announce that Sunday' morn- , ing has arrived. Much of the responsibility for the event ' has been assumed by Albert Seoweroft, president of the Ogden Harvest Festival and Fashion Show association, and by i James P. Casey, secretary of the orsraniza- i tioti. They have initiated most of the j plans for the event and have for the past four months been holding conferences ! with business and professional men regarding re-garding the details of the programme. A. T. Wright, vice president of tiie association, asso-ciation, lias been one of the active members mem-bers of the finance committee. The other directors, who have ad aided in the plans, are P. M.
