Tho immediate i erection of a $40,000 clubhouse was determined de-termined upon tonight nt a special meeting meet-ing of Ogden aerie No. US, Kmteriiul ; Order of Eagles, to honor William A. 1'eters, president of the InterniounuUn district aerie of the order, and oilier district dis-trict -officers. The building- committee was nuthorlzed in enter Into a contract with Charles J. Huiuphris for the construction, con-struction, of tile huildlng. The building will be located on Grant avenue, and will Include two stories and a basement, plans for which have al-I al-I ready been approved. Work will lie j started. It was said lust night, by the i first of next month. In addition to Mr. Peters, District Secretary H. 8. MeCann and District i Trustee R, Askew of Salt Lake wore also i guests at the meeting. B. O. Ellsworth, president of 6olt Lake aerio No. 67, was i also with the visitors. While the meeting was primarily Intended In-tended to entertain tho visiting officials, the of fleers considered it an opportune I time to close up the clubhouse matter. The building committee includes Trustees 1 Gus Thorn. Sr.. Thomas Leslie and Samuel Sam-uel Thomas, as well as William Doyle and Joseph Carlson. both popular members. |
