Last night marked the closing of the largest and most successful annual session ses-sion ever held by the Utah Grand lodge of Odd Fellows. Means of raising more money to increase . the fund for the building of a home for indigent Odd Fellows and widows and orphans of members were discussed. The sum of $20,000 has already been secured, but $40,000 more is necessary before construction con-struction may be begun. Officers of the grand lodge were elected during the morning sessjon. Thev are: F. H. CeK-cnttra of Bingham, grand master; J. H. Sugden of Salt Lake, deputy grand master; H. G. Hay-ball Hay-ball 'of Logan, grand warden- the E-ev. P. A. Simpkin of Salt Lake, grand secretary; J. H. Hornung of Manti, grand treasurer, and W. ii. Scott or Murray, grand representative. These officers were installed during the afternoon after-noon session. The state assembly of Bebekahs concluded con-cluded its session yesterday afternoon. The following officers for the ensuing vear were chosen during the forenoon: President, Mrs. Joanna Kelson, Salt Lake Citv: vice president, Mrs. Lena Lehman, Midvale: secretary, Mrs. Clara I. Moore, Salt Lake; treasurer, Mrs. Elizabeth Carmegietan, Murray. These officers were also installed during the afternoon session. Mrs. Emma N. Scott, of this city, delegate to the International Inter-national association of Kebekah assemblies as-semblies at San Francisco last September, Septem-ber, read her report. The concluding exercise was a memorial service for the members who had died during the year. The Muscovites, an affiliated auxiliary aux-iliary order of the grand lodge met last night and a big banquet concluded the annual session of the lodge. |
