Show LEROY C, POTTER 13 " HOSPITAL ASSISTANT State Board of Insanity Makes Appointment of Aide to Dr. Hyde. At yesterday's meeting: of the state board of insanity, Dr. Leroy C. Potter of Payson was appointed assistant superintendent super-intendent of the state mental hospital at a salary of $250 a month. The meeting of the board was held at the hospital at Provo, the three members of the board Governor William Spry, State Auditor Eincoln G. Kelly and State Treasurer Jesse D. Jewkes beins; present. Claims for the past month, totaling $GG49. 29, were allowed by the board. A contract to paint the outside of the hospital hos-pital buildlncs was awarded to the Ker shaw Painting company of this city on a low bid of $S75. The highest of several sev-eral bids received on the work was for ?i?00. An offer made to Dr. George E. Hyde, superintendent of the hospital, by the Provo band to give free concerts at the institution on alternate Sundays was accepted ac-cepted by the board with appreciation. A report submitted by Superintendent Hyde showed that 561 patients were in the hospital at the end of June, 1916, of which ofis were men and 243 women. The allowances made by the board included in-cluded J3315.65 for salaries, $2938.00 for current expenses, $108.15 for improvements improve-ments and repairs, $43.40 for furniture and fixtures, ?69 for insurance and $175 for equipment for operating room. |
