Standing but a short distance inside the Fillmore street entrance and between the west portal of the "Zone" and the machinery ma-chinery palace, its splendid columnar facade fa-cade can be seen the entire length of Palm avenue,' the exposition's chief thoroughfare. The building is 200 feet square and in classic style architecture, in perfect harmony with the adjoining exhibit palaces. Comfortable furniture, writing desks and "your home-town paper" make the room a place hich in-, in-, vites the visitor to linger for a quiet and . refreshing- rest. A t the other end of the foyer is a similar room for the comfort and convenience con-venience of men more writing desks, more newspapers from home, picture,-that picture,-that are littie chapters from the lives ot Fa-iiie coast sportsmen. Passing from the foyer into the central part of the building the visitor finds himself stepping into a. different world. The entrance leads through the heart or a California big tree, Just as the road passes throuah the famous tree "Wa-wona." "Wa-wona." in the Mariposa grove. The whole enclosure is a miniature woodland with trails leading among the trees. Here and there are views of famous scenic features of the Pacific coast reached by the Southern Pacific. Moss-brae Moss-brae falls, near Shasta Springs, ia just before the entrance, while Yosemite valley val-ley is seen fn the distance at the right and Lake Tahoe on the Jeft. !
