Show SUPERINTENDENT'S MOTHER DIES. ' Death of Mrs. Toucey Brings Great Sor- row to Ogden Friends. Special to The Tribune. OGOEX, Nov. 29. In a message to W. H. Chevers, general agent of the Fnion Pacific system. S. R. Toucey, superintendent superin-tendent of the Wyoming division and formerly located in this city, announced the death -of his mother at her home In .Sharon Springs. Kan. According to the ! telegram, Mrs. Toucey died early Sunday morning, after an illness of only a few I days. Mrs. Toucey is known lo many I residents of Ogden. She spent last sum- j mer in Ogden canyon. Superintendent Toucey was on his way ' to Ogden last Friday when he was notified ! of the critical illness of his mother. He I terminated his westward trip at Evans-ton, Evans-ton, Wyo., and returned at once to her bedside. To the Ogden friends of the family the announcement of the woman's death brought deep sorrow, because of the keen companionship that existed between be-tween Superintendent Toucey and his mother. During his residence in Denver the railroad rail-road man lived with his mother, and with his appointment to headquarters in this city he immediately provided a home for his mother jn Ogden canyon. With his promotion to the superintendence of the Wyoming division, Mr. Toucey found it necessary to remove his mother to her old home in Kansas. |
