Show AMERICAN CHGE IS SJFE ST VERA BZ O'Shaughnessy, With Family and Staff and Consul General, Gen-eral, on Way Home. WASHINGTON, April 24. Nelson O'Shaughnessy, American charge at Mexico City, his family and'sinfr, and Consul General Shankhn nnd his staff, arrived in Vera Cruz from the Mexican capital tonight. Under date of 6:30 p. m. today, Rear Admiral Fletcher at Vera Cruz reported to tho navy department: "Upon telegraphic request of Charge d 'Affaires OShaughncss', tho train left horo at 3 o'clock conveying Captain Huso, Lieutenant Flotchor and Ensign P. Todd to meet him. He also carried tho family of General Maus and 'about 250 Mexicans. At about fivo miles out track was found torn up for about three-quarters of a mile. On the other side of the breach in the track was a train from Mexico Citv eonveviug ehargo d'affaires and others as'foP lows: "Mrs. O'Shnughncssy, child and maid. Captain Kurusidu, Lieutenant ftowan. Mexicans in Vera Cruz have bcon allowed to leave at will, nnd every facility fa-cility and transportation available has been given, but none has been ablo to go out on trains. Captain Huso was directed to la.v emphasis on this fact, nnd to ox press a strong desire to sond daily trains to convoy Mexicans from Vera Cruz to moot trains bringing foreigners for-eigners from Moxico City.
