ECHOES AWAKENED BY AN OLD-TIME CANNON Piece of Artillery With a War Record Is Discharged by Prankish Boys at University. Dumb sinco the civil war, a braES cannon on the university campus awakened awak-ened the echoos of tho east bench with its brazen "boom at 8 o'clock last night. The piece was loaded and discharged, evidently by students, as a Halloween prank. Fifteen windows on the west sido of tho machine shop, against which the cannon lay, were shattered by tho concussion. con-cussion.
