At a meeting of Harrlman operating officials in this city today piano were devised for facilitating the handling of the heavy freight business, busi-ness, which Is now taxing the roads lo their capieity. The chief object of increasing in-creasing the efficiency is to provide an ndeo.ua to supply of cars for tho future shipments. Among those at the meeting, which was held In Superintendent T. Anderson, superintendent of car service for the Oregon Short Lino; William Wil-liam Jcffers. division superintendent ot the Union Pacific: Charles Ware, general gen-eral manager of the Union Pacific: A. F. Brewer, superintendent of the Utah division divi-sion of the Union Pacific, and O. B. Chalmers, assistant superintendent of the Oregon Sliort Line.
