Show WEBER COUNTY PIONEER SUCCUMBS TO OLD AGE Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Jan. 23. James Lowe, a resident resi-dent of Weber county for the past forty-one forty-one years, died at his home in Hooper last night at the age of 83 years. Mr, Lowe, during tho time he had lived in this country, conducted a farm at his home in Hooper. Until a few weeks ago he appeared to bo In excellent health but was taken slightly 111 and gradually grew weaker until doath called him last nlghL General dehlllty is assigned by his attending physician as the cause of death. Mr. Lowe was born in Scotland, from which country he camo to tho United States, pushing straight for Utah with one of the early bands of emigrants that crossed the plains in tho early days. He was tho father of the late David Lowe, former postmaster at Hooper, who died there eight months ago. Mr. Lowe Is survived by his widow and four daughters, Mrs. John T. Thompson, Welser, Ida.; Mrs, John Morrison, Albany, Al-bany, Ida.; Mrs. S. G. Watson. Mon-tnna, Mon-tnna, and Miss Isabel Lowo of Hoopor. The funeral services will be held at tho Hooper ward meeting houso Tuesday afternoon aft-ernoon at 1 o'clock. |
