Show TO GO TO LAW OVER IT trouble between the telephone and street 11 R cos in salt lake the telephone company and the street railroad are at it again the matter having been before the third district court yesterday the telephone company filed a supplemental i complaint asking for a perpetual injunction against the railway using the electric motors on lines where telephones are operated the grounds set forth as a basis for this action are that the street railways electric wires are improperly insulted that powerful currents of electricity are transmitted thereon that these currents seriously interfere with and at times absolutely prevent the operation of the telephone wires and instruments by contact and induction that the running of the cars is a continual source of interference with the telephone business to such an extent that unable to make connections that a number of accidents have occurred cured oc all of which resulted in pecuniary loss to the telephone company and that in consequence of the disturbance referred to subscribers are threatening to and will have their instruments removed from their houses therefore the telephone company mosbs the court to interfere and restrain the railroad company from doing any of the acts complained of and from running any electric wires parallel to or across the telephone wires the street railway managers say the whole fault is in the telephone com banys failure to comply with tho or dance which would place their wires out of reach of the annoyances they are now subject to both parties are ready for trial in about three weeks |
