Show obituary WALLACE at her residence in the second ward provo of inflammation of the bowels july sophia wallace the daughter of dinah and christopher Sto veld born march 10 1838 in the village of bocham near chichester Sussex England she was baptized in her native place may by elder albert dewey of salt lake city then missionary of that district and was confirmed dext day alio emigrated to utah in october 1886 and resided in mill creek ward where ehe was re baptized with her husband she moved to provo in september 1887 the funeral services were held in the ward meetinghouse meeting house at 4 last sunday afternoon bishop evan conducted tha services after prayer by counselor A wilkins elder james hardy pave an account of his acquaintance with the deceased in november then a missionary to that district he spoke in high terms of her good qualities and utmost kindness to dimand the elders traveling there her home having been open to ane elders for eighteen years her aged mother di aaa who died about a year before the deceased emigrated at the age of ja yeara was a true saint in every respect and her daughter promised her that phe would not leave she was laid away thia promise the deceased carried out her father died about a year after she left at the age of 86 years deceased was highly respected in her native place always willing to do good to all elders A 0 smoot jr and isaac bullock spoke in the highest esteem of jie good qualities of sister wallace citing many acts of kindness truly it could be said she would rise in the morning of the first resurrection bishop evau made the closing remarks everything was done for sister wallace that could have been dune the saints ministering to her wants and trying to ease her suffering she leaves a good record behind her remains were interred in the cemetery quite a number following to her resting place the prayer was offered by elder isaac bullock she died in full faith of the gospel deseret news and millennial Mil lenial star please copy |
