Show Barbara Dimler Celebrates Her 85th Birthday 'Jf, MRS. BARBARA DIMLKR Mrs. Barbara Dimler, who . has lived in four different countries in her life, this week celebrated her 85th birthday. Mrs. Dimler lives with her daughter, Mrs. A. Leslie (Laura) Derbyshire at 753 East Crestwood Drive, Bountiful. Bounti-ful. She was born at Brauns-bach, Brauns-bach, Wurtemburg, Germany, Ftbruary 16, 1873, the third child of Johann and Magdalene Magda-lene Bryer Henncrich. Her father and grandfather were both born in the same house in which she was born. This house is" still standing, and was until two years ago occupied occu-pied by Mrs. Dimler's sister Karoline Firnkorn. At 19 she moved to Hull. Yorkshire, England, where she married Frederick August Dim ler, a merchant. They were the parents of three children. They moved to Dublin, Ireland Ire-land in 1927. Mr. Dimler died in 1940. Mrs. Dimler came to the United States in 1947 and lived in Salt Lake City until 1 955 when she moved to Boun tiful. In 1951, at 78, she completed complet-ed a mission in the Highland stake for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is active in Relief Society and temple work. Her son August F. Dimler, lives at Hull, England. She has six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her hobbies are knitting andl in the summer, gardening. I |
