From tho standpoint of names, a uniquo wed'aihg';,was,i(hat of two sisters, Gertrude Baldwin- arid'-Viola S. Baldwin, who were married yesterday at Wading River, L. I., to two brothers. Shirley Baldwin and David Bnldwln. rospecthrely. No confusion can be caused to the hrldes when addressed by the names of their husbands, since thero Is merely the placing of a "Mrs." for the "Misw' previously used. All tho contracting parties are residents of Wading River, and have been great favorites fa-vorites there. The wedding took place nt noon at the home of the parents of the two brides. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baldwin. About one hundred guests were present, and the double knot was tied by tho Rev. James Bas&Ht, pastor of the local Congregational Con-gregational church. Two cousins, Miss Florence Dayton and Miss Nettie L. Dayton, attended tho brides as maids of honor, while two brothers, William F. Van Wart ajid Georgo A. Van Wart, were- tho beat men. |
