every one During the parades 1le world on the streets or clnl wotll was seen 01 upon balconies enjoying the scene of brilliant coloring At Buffalo Bills large parties of the fashionable performances hLc partcs ionable throng occupied scats and din the followed ners preceded or suppers folowcd trip to the show Then Corlanton and The Prince and the Peasant drew arGc crowds and to these events were added something of a novel character every hour In the main avenues where sonuj of the original Elks could be relied The lied upon for an entertaining show gaylvdecoratcd thorough fares won I fufrly alive with people from morning i until fur into the night the latter hours I being the mOll popular as the brilliant lights formed an attraction hard to resist lht lormel sist It was probably something like carnival time In Rome and certainly I pleasant break in the midsummer monotony Three Pleasant Receptions On Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day receptions were given to the visiting visit-ing ladies and they were distinct features fea-tures of the social side of life during the week Music fine decorations and refreshments wore Included and the attendance at-tendance was
