Show S DEATH OF SAMUEL GROFF Succumbed at Holy Cross Hospital S After Much Suffering A couple of weeks ago Samuel M Groff of 1023 East Second South an employee em-ployee of the Standard Steam and Hand laundry was taken 111 with what was at llrat supposed to bo typhoid fever He ondeavored keepup for a time but it nail v was forced to take to his bed and developed a severe case of ccre brospinal meningitis He was removed to the Holy Cross hospitalr his faithful wife accompanying him At no tIme did he improve and a concul tation of physicians failed to afford the sufferer relief Much of the time he had been unconscious and seemed to suffer greatly until at 9 oclock on Tuesday evening ho succumbed Mr Croft was of a modest retiring disposition and highly esteemed by those who knew him and sincere sympathy sym-pathy will be extended to his devoted wife who is herself prostrated with grief and the results of her constant vigils Funeral services will be held at the Illff M E church of which he was a prominent member on Sunday next at 1030 a m |
