Show ELEVENTH WARD OUTING An Entertaining Programme of Contests Con-tests at Lagoon The people of the Eleventh ward to the number of about BOO had possession of Lagoon yesterday and a programme of sports was observed that consumed the greater part of the afternoon There were two races In which the lady teachers of the Eleventh ward Sundayschool competed The victors were Miss Marie Morris and Miss Annie An-nie Peterson the latter also won the young ladles relay race The prize for the man with the largest number of descendants present was given to Charles Livingston there being twenty iwo of his descendants on the grounds The prize to the woman with the larg est family present was given to Mrs Charles Livingston whose family consisted con-sisted of nine members Mrs DcGray was given a prize Cor being the mother of the prettiest baby present The cakewalk winners were Miss Rca Freeze and Miss Marguerite Bassett The winners of prizes In the childrens races were Louise While V Grow William Knight Louise Parker Irene Tuckctt Harry Stoats lone Bassctt Rena Redmond The potato races for boys were won by Logan Morris and Heber Crow The victor In the potato race for girls was Miss Nellie Cohlan A threelegged race was won by Lawrence Law-rence Bassett and Albert White Lawrence Law-rence Bassctt also won a hobble race A tug of war between twenty young ladles and ten young men was won easily by the young ladles The even Ing was spent In visiting and dancing SundaySchool Picnic The Sundayschool of St Marks ca thedral will have a picnic at Pharaohs Glen on September 3rd Childrens Day at Salt Palace Today Is childrens day at the Salt Palace and all children will be ath milled free to the grounds During the afternoon a matinee will bo given free to the llllle folks |
