Show VALLEY ROAD FRANCHISE Council Committee Agrees nnd Will Recommend its Passage The Committees on Laws and Streets I ot the City Council last night decided to ciant I a franchise to the Salt Lake Valley Railroad company to lay a single sin-gle line itracks with such sidings as nre necessary from Second South street OP First West street north to the Warm II Springs thence to the city limits for the proposed clertric railroad between this city and Ogden The right of way through the citys Warm Springs property is to be on lines established by the City Engineer The franchise is for a railroad to be operated by doe trejty compj eased air 01 liquid air steam being explicitly burred a condition condi-tion which President Quigley l Engineer Gibus and Attorney Powers of the railroad rail-road all of whom were present readily agreed to The terms of the franchise allows tho carrying of farm products nsw ns-w J1 as plungers The fare for pas WMigeri within the city limits Is fixed nl j ccntn The road Is to be completed within a year The City Attorney was requested to draw up the ordinance granting the franchise and the committee will meet at 5 oclock on Monday afternoon at the office of R B Whlttemore to approve of It prior to recommending to the City ouncll on Tuesday venlng that the franchise be granted |
