Show MRS OWEN HOGLE GETS DIVORCE She is Awarded by Consent Alimony Amounting to 12000 the Decree Being Based on Desertion The suit for separate maintenance filed by Jessie L Iloglc some months ago against I Owen Hogle the well known saloonkeeper came up for trial yesterday before Judge HIIcs An amended complaint in which the plaintiff plain-tiff prayed for divorce and alimony was lIIed It was alleged that the parties par-ties wrc married at Oakland Cal on August S 1SS and that for more than ona year Ilogle deserted his wife and willfully neglected to provide her with the common necessaries of life The defendant waived time and acknowledged the service of summons and the case went to trial at once Sirs Ilogle tcsllllcd to the marriage and desertion She said she left Salt Lake and went lo live hi California on the understanding Hint her husband would go there to live with her but he never did so and only made occasional visits there James Hoglc brother of the defendant defend-ant testified to the marriage and also that the parties had not lived together for a number of years The defendant was present but offered no testimony Ills attorney Judge Ilowat slated that In case a decree be grailtedlic was willing that Mrs Hogle be given 12000 alimony and 5500 attorney fees In addition addi-tion to the SZ50 paid some time ngo for suit money The court allowed Mrs Hogle the divorce and decree was signed awarding her alimony as stated Homey A T Sanford and Judge Henderson represen ted Mrs lJ ogle |
