Democrat-ic county convention adjourned In I Payson this morning the following officers cers of the county committee were elected Otto F Malmbeig chairman Grant C TWglcy secretary J R Twelves treasurer The county com L mltteo consists of the precinct chairman chair-man in addition to the ofnccrs named I The delegates to the judicial conven Tlc delerates ton and the State convention previously 1 t previ-ously elected by the various primaries and whose names have already been published were confirmed and In addition ad-dition Hon William M Jioylaucc of Provo and Hon James 0 Pullock of pjcasant Grove were elected delegates acIarge During the balloting for T R Barney L Bar-ney of Provo und George Cunningham of American ForJe candidates for Representatives t Rep-resentatives State Senator Abel J Evans executed a masterly coup de etat and stampeded the convention for Mr Barney The votes were coming Cunningham at an alarming rate on the second ballot and on the third ballot he vould undoubtedly have received re-ceived < l the nomination but for his friend Evans Lehl wa smarting under un-der the defeat of A M Davis for 1 County CommlBSioncLv and now was the opportunity to give American i Fork a dose of smarting and the remedy was administered most effectively Senator Evans took the floor and vehemently ve-hemently charged American Fork Payson and Spanish Fork with having formed a combination two weeks ago for bagging the olllces and the compact com-pact had been carried out In the convention con-vention this attempt to elect Mr Cunningham was a part of It and Mr T Evans pleaded with the convention to rally to the support of Provos candidate candi-date as Provo deserved some reward for staving out of the combine A Before the Senator sat
