Show Utah State AFL-CiO Will Continue Scholarship Plan The High School Scholarship program of the Utah State AFL-CIO AFL-CIO will be continued for the sixth consecutive year, it was announced by President John R. Schone today. Announcements and copies of this year's program have been mailed to all high schools in the state of Utah. This year two awards in the amount of $300 each will be presented pre-sented to the winners. The scholarship schol-arship program is sponsored in an effort to aid students in obtaining ob-taining a better understanding of the aims and purposes of labor organizations. Scholarship awards may be used in any accredited ac-credited college or university in the United States and in any field of study. All senior students stu-dents in Utah are eligible to participate. par-ticipate. Winners are chosen on general excellence of their presentation and not on the point of view expressed. Since the inception of this program, thirteen students have been helped to attend the college col-lege of their choice. |
