Show Bureau Seeking ; To Withdraw Land The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Engi-neers has filed with the U. S. Bureau of Land Management an application for withdrawal from general use approximately 2312 acres in Uintah County. According to R. D. Nielson, BLM state director for Utah, the Corps of Engineers indicated in its application that seismic facilities facili-ties would be constructed and operated on the requested land Because of the nature of the work, according to the application, applica-tion, any concurrent use of the land except use permitted under the Taylor Grazing Act, would have to be prohibited. The withdrawal with-drawal would be from all forms of use including those under the mining and mineral leasing laws, subject to existing valid claims. |
