Show "There will be no easy solution solu-tion to the problem, because Cas tro already has built up an army capable of defeating that of an other Latin-American country and if the nations of the Amer .can continents are to be pro .ected from imminent Soviet in vasion, the armed forces of tht United States will have to join the armies of the other American republics and, indeed, will prob ibly even have to bear tht greater part of the burden o defense. Weston Says War Likely Over Cuba "We must brace ourselves for the shock of possible war in the Cuban crisis, because it is much closer to reality than most of us would seem to think," Joseph H. Weston. Democratic candidate for the Senate of the United States, warned in a talk Sunday to a church group in Salt Lake City. "I am sure President Kennedy will do all that is within his power to prevent the outbreak of war," Mr. Weston continued, "but circumstances beyond the control of the United States are building up to a crisis where we must lead the American nations in an all-out military support of Cuban patriots in their struggle to oust Fidel Castro and destroy his Soviet-trained and -equipped army," Mr. Weston continued. "The Organization of American Ameri-can States meets January 27 to consider this problem, and all information available indicates the necessity for measures much stronger than the sanctions which were successfully used to destroy a dictotorial form of government in the Dominican Republic. |
