Show Telephone Company TV Program to Review Bell Hour "And There Shall Be Music," the Bell Telephone Hour pro- gram over NBC-TV, Channel 2, r on Friday, January 6, will be a " review of the past, present and ; future of the Bell Hour. ' The past, which includes more ' than a hundred presentations by outstanding popular and concert ! artists, will be represented by Renata Tebaldi. The present will be represented represent-ed by the popular singing stars ; Shirley Jones and Keith Andes, concert pianist Joe Iturbi, and ballet artists Maria Tallchief and Erik Bruhn, with Donald Voor-hees Voor-hees and the Bell Telephone Orchestra. Or-chestra. The future will be represented by a surprise preview of part of a Bell Telephone Hour scheduled sched-uled for telecast later in the season. Marilyn Van Derbur will make her debut as a Bell Telephone Hour program hostess with "And There Shall Be Music," but she is already a familiar figure to the television audience. Marilyn started her career in television just after she completed a year's reign as MiSs America. She has been a spokeswoman for the Bell System commercials and also TV hostess at the Atlantic City contest during the past two years. |
