Show Have You Checked Your Social Security? It may be time again to check your social security account, according ac-cording to Clarence J. Seitz, manager of the Salt Lake City District office of the Social Security Se-curity Administration. Mr. Seitz advised that most people now reaching age 65 need 4 years of earnings on their account. (A man born in 1906 or later or a woman born in 1909 or later will need at least 10 years in the system). For disability, you need at least 5 years. If you will write or stop in your local social security office, they will furnish you a self addressed ad-dressed card. Within a few days a statement of your earnings will be sent you from the headquarters headquar-ters in Baltimore, Maryland. According to Mr. Seitz it is advisable ad-visable for workers and self-employed self-employed people to correct any record which might not be complete com-plete Your future benefit payments pay-ments will be based on earnings credited to your account. |
