Show Telephone Manager Named Head Of United Fund Eric A. Aaberg, Utah General Manager and Vice President of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company, was elected president of the Salt Lake Area United Fund for the year 1958 at the regular monthly board of directors meeting. Mr. Aaberg succeeds Raymond L. Arnold, whose term expires. Other officers elected were: Vice-presidents: LaMar D. Gul-bransen, Gul-bransen, Richard A. VanWinkle, Mrs. Jerry Landa and William L .O'Meara as treasurer. In his first offical task, Mr, Aaberg awarded an appreciation plaque to the thirteen members of the board whose term of office of-fice has expired. A number of the board members were among the group who first formulated the United Fund organization in the Salt Lake City area. Mr. Arnold was also presented with an award for his outstanding outstand-ing leadership to the Fund during dur-ing the 1957 year. He was reelected re-elected to the board. At the same meeting reports were heard from each of the committee chairmen who has served under Mr. Arnold. |
