Show OUR MINERAL EXHIBIT. Mr. 8. II. M-Combek who haa charge of the mineral exhibit at the World's fair was in Salt Lake yesterday, on his way to Den vcr, and, like the practical man that he is devoted his brief stay here to promoting the interest in his case. Mr. Macombek says ' the building that is being erected for the mineral exhibit Is by all odds the finest of the kind ever constructed, and that while the commercial aud scientific part of the . exposition is being well taken care of, the Industrial features are not being neglected. They will be anion',' the grandest ever had In any previous fair. At the same time nothing has been done as yet to provide for Utah's part in the mining min-ing exhibit, though the time in which to do something is limited. The World's fair will open on , May I; all the space unoccupied on April 1 by those to whom it was assigned, will be allotted to others asking for it, aud iu fact L exhibits should be ou the ground before winter win-ter sots in as it takes time to prepare them for the opeuiug. ! It is unfortunate that just at this time Mr. ' ( hambf.ks and Mr. Ma kintosii should be absent from this city. Tlicy arc uot only commissioners but more ' particularly interested in the mineral exhibit from this territory. We doubt not but what tliey will sec to it that we arc creditably represented, yet the time is pressing aud what is to be done must be done at ouce. |
