Show COINC TO HEAR OF. IT. A. K. Stevenson on His Way to New York to lie Notified of His Nomination. Chicago, July 15. Hon. A. E. Stevenson, Ste-venson, democratic . candidate for vice-president, arrived here - at . noon. After a brief reception at the Iroquois Club he left over tne Michigan Central Cen-tral for New York City, where, with ex-President Cleveland he will receive the fcrinal moditication of his nomination cn the :20th inst. He is accompanied by a distinguished distin-guished party including Hon. Lambert Lam-bert Free, ex minister to Russia, Gen eral Johu Castellan of Louisville, chairman of the Kentucky stato central committee, Hon. Jacob Richards of the Illinois state central cen-tral commiitee. At Detroit he Will be joined joined by ex-Postmaster-Generat Dickinson, Governor James E. Campbell of Ohio, Chairman T. J. Cainpau of the Mich-gan Mich-gan state central committee and other prom-nent prom-nent democrats of Michigan and Ohio. It is probable General Stevensrfu will mnke brief speeches at some of the leading points en route. - - ' . |
