Show THIS LOOKS LIKH BLSINESS. The scene on tho Eighth ward square is one of bustle and activity, and it is extremely gratifying to see work being pushed right ou. Last evening J. II. Bowman, contractor, and the Rio Grande Western Railway company, asked permission of the city council to lay and operate a temporary standard gauge railway from the connection with the maiu line of said company along Eighth South street to the Eighth ward square along Second East street for the purpose of hauling material to construct the joint city and county building. The track to be laid in aud ulong saitl street as the city engineer may direct, and to be removed upon the completion of said builuing. |
