The Logan republican convent on met yesterday. George W. Hunter of Broadford, was elected chairman chair-man over -1. L. Fuller of Bliss by one vote. W. C. Hill of Shoshone, was chosen secretary. secre-tary. The committee on platform reported favoring fa-voring the free and unlimited coinage of silver, the protection of industries and labor, and that each nominee put in the field be sworn to support the resolutions to the letter, let-ter, and not caucus without a pledge for the free and unlimited coinage of silver, aud not support any person for Minneapolis who is not so committed, and that the Minneapolis Minneapo-lis delegates be sworn to support no presidential presi-dential candidate who is not pledged to the free and unlimited coinage of silver. The following delegates were then elected: W. C. Hill and V. Bierbower of Shoshone, J. L. Fuller of Bliss, J. B.Campbell of Ti-kura, Ti-kura, N. C. Delano of Bellevue, G. G. Curry and J. Woodworth of Camas Prairie. Bellevue, Ida., April 27. The Logan county democratic central committee met here yesterday and named the dates and places for the different county conventions, and the dates for the election primaries, ,a.- follows: At Bellevue, September 20'th, to nominate county officers; at Soldier, August loth, to elect six delegates to the state convention con-vention at Boise; at Shoshone, May 20th, to elect six delegates to the Pocatello state convention, where Chicago material will be chosen. The appointment was made on a basis of one delegate to every twenty votes for fraction thereof cast for the democratic governor in eoch precinct at the iast election and one at large for every precinct. Boise City. Ida., April 27. W. E. Boroh, chairman of the republican state central committee, has tendered his resignation, to take effect May 0th, v. hen tho committee will meet at Pocatello. Dr. I. H. Moore of Pocatello will probadly be chosen temporary chairman of the Pocatello Poca-tello republican convention. |
