Washington, ,tUu. 18. - Although the house is not able to act upon any bills introduced, in-troduced, the senate is now In the full tide of legislation. A dozen bills have already passed that body and been scut to the house. The work will be kept up this week. Today the Weil and l'Aubra claim will tie discussed in connection with the pendinj bill to investigate the allegations of fraud in their allowance. A bill reorganizing the system of printing and issuing public documents docu-ments may also be provocative of debate. Senator Kyle will talk about marriage and idtYorce, and executive sessions during the week will probably develop sonic party feeling feel-ing as it is expected that the judicial examinations exam-inations and the Ehnira postmastershtp will figure in the proceedings. After the. Introduction of bills the house, will take up the measure reported by Mr. Richardson of the joint committee on printing, print-ing, untitled: "A bill providing for the printing and binding and distribution of pubilo documents." It is expected that at least, half the session of Ipe house during tho week will be consumed con-sumed In i onsldcration of this measure. The bill makes a general revision of the pr"sent system of printing and distributing public docunn ts. In the house this morning, Reillyof Pennsylvania, Penn-sylvania, asked unanimous consent for the immediate consideration of the resolution calling on the sec:e'.a;y of tks t'naaary for information as to a.. A resolution was presented and referred authorizing the select committee on World's fair to have printed such documents and papers as it may deem necessary relative to the matters referred to. In the senate this morning a memorial and petition from the National League for the Protection of American institutions was prcpented asking for au amendment to the constitution to prevent the union of church a'.d state and to forbid the appropriation of public money to auy society under sectarian control.
