The delegates from Nevada and California to the Minneapolis convention arrived in ; Salt Lake City at 9:40 last night and were met at the depot by a delegation of Salt Lake republicans division and anti-division, j The California delegation is made up as I follows: Judge E. V. Spencer, Eli S. Deni-I Deni-I son and wife of Oakland, General E. P. Johnson and wife of Los Angles, George A. Knight, K. E. Jack, wife and party of San Luis Obispo, D. T. Cole, Joseph S. Spear, jr., and wife, E. F. Spence and wife of Los Angeles, R. P. Bobbins and wife. Colonel Isaac Trumbo and family, M. H. de Y uug of the Chronicle and wile, O. A. Hale and family of San Jose, J. R. Carrick, A. J. Rhoids of Sacramento, D. S. Dorn, P. Y. Baker, E. C. Voorhees of Sutter Creek, X. D. Ridcout and wife of Marysville, C. M. Palmer of the Examiner and wife, Mrs. N. C. Palmer and Mrs. Clement and daughter, C. S. Crittenden, A. W. Bradbury and niece. Dr. N- Sposati, Dr. Lull, Mrs. Plum, Charles H. Simpkins, J. F. Kidder and wife, Mrs. Paris Kilburn. The Nevadans were: A. C. Williams, D. A. Bender, D. L. Bliss, Evan Williams and M. D. Foely, representing Nevada, Mrs. C ravens, Robert Searles, Mr. Keyes, Mr. Frankerfield, Mr. Dryden and Mr. Lee and party. Mr. H. De Young made a brief speech aud informed the crowd that at Minneapolis the next president was going to be nominated. Somebody mentioned Blaine and Blaine was promised by De Young tha vote of every California delegate provided he would accept. ac-cept. Mr. George Knight made a few remarks and at 9:55 the train pulled out for Minneapolis. Minne-apolis. A. O. Hale of San Jose has been selected as California's member of the committee on credentials. |
