Show Lord Ly ttoti's Ieath. Paris, Nov. !25. The death yesterday cf F.arl Lytton, the British ambas-ador t France, has caused profound regret in this city. The papers publish articles on the dead diplomat and all speak in the very highest terms of his great services to his country and pay high tributes to his literary attainments. They all concur in the opinion that in his death France has lost a sim-ere friend. In an article on the late earl pub-lihed pub-lihed by the Ei'n-nmmt. that paper says: The presence of Earl Lytton in Paris was a more reassuring pledge of peace than all the protests made by the cabinet of St. James. |
