Show A I OINT FOIt TICACIIUIS. A Chicago school k-uchcr sent some of her pupils homo because they had been eating onions. The cast! was appealed ap-pealed lo the superintendent and the onion cuiiio out victor. In his opinion Superintendent Love says: "There is no doubt Miss Mkkuill was not justified justi-fied in sending the children homo because be-cause their breath was laden with the odor of onions, It i.s ,ui instance ol poor judgment. The odor may have been disagreeable to the teacher, but she should not have taken that a'-tion. Teachers cannot regulate a pupil's diet. If they want to eat onions there is nothing noth-ing to prevent them from m doing and attending school. The I'table is well liked by many pcoplo, and it :s certainly most wholesome." |
