Show Aid far Hebrew ICxIl.a. Pmr.AiifxriiiA, July 24. The Jewish alliance of America has isfstied a lengthy appeal and plan of action with regard to the llussiaa Jewish imaiigratiou. It states that united cftorts by Jews in all quarters of the country will assist in doing what is required. Assimilation of those emigrants has been retarded by thoir concentration in large communities, commu-nities, particularly in tho seaboard cities, aud the appeal says they would prove a nioro desirable acquisition if they were quickly distributed through the" vast interior of the union. Let every member of such community give a litfl.j time and effort to sruide them where they can settle and make a living. Pecuniary help will come from members mem-bers of tho Alliauce, from the Baron Ilirsch trust and from tho liberality of tho community. The immediate pur- pose to be k"pt in view is the settlement settle-ment of small Jewish communities in town" aud Villages of tho interior. General Gen-eral directions for the plan of work are laid out. |
