Made in Ground Never Believed to Have any Value KemU Jtroa. Jfc Klopeustein Open a Mountain of Sulphides. A miner, who, claimed- to have been em-ployed oa the, Bullion-Bec- k mine for several months, informed a Times man today that a tn.Kc been made on that property of the public knew nothing-- yet which ts as big as anything the Beck had ever opened. In truth, it was the most ever important made in the mine because it proved the continuity of the ore to the northwest, al-most at right-angle- s from the way the pay chutes were supposed to run. The discov-ery was made on the 700-fo- level, 200 feet aorth and 30 degrees west of the shaft It lias been a supposition of the management or a long time that all the ore was to the northeast, towards the Keystone; but this discovery, if the information is correct, demonstrates that there is more than one jrc channel on the Bulliou-Bec- llie k ground, strike, according to the informer, was mmlo two weeks ayo, and it has since been opened sufiicieiitty to prove that it is a large body and the ore rich enough to pay well. The Pioche Smelter. Fives w ere set in the Pioche smelter built by . S. God he this summer, two weeks ago. After a few hours run, the furnaces were both frozen solid and it was necessary to rio.se the works down. Superintendent James at once started men to cutting out the concealed mass, and he now has the furnaces ready to run again. He exnects to start them n. again next week and thinks he will this limp i,c able to run them successfully, lb" trouble; with the first trial was the lack of til".: right kind of ore, the furnaces beiug I'lowi, in and fL.i without a sufficiency of lead, and iron. This difficulty has now been ovci coi;ni or will i.c IteWe the smelter starts M again, by the railroad reaching the mines the orrs of which it was desirable to obtain. J.iughaiii Sulphides. Bemis, Bros, it KlopenstHu who located a piece of vacant ground in Bingham this summer just below-- the Spanish mine, have opened a veritable mountain of sulphide ore" ( 'oniniencinijr in the gulch, the ow ners ran a tunud 150 feet.
