Show The I n ion Conservatives. Birmingham, Eng., Nov. 24. The city is crowded to the utmost extent with delegates to the great conference of the National Union Conservative associations. The hall was packed this morning when the conference confer-ence was called to order. At half-past six the vast gathering was called to order and routine business was haatiiy disposed of. Lord Windson was elected president for the ensuing year a number of vice presidents were then elected, after which a resolutions of congratulations congrat-ulations to Balfour, late chief secretary for Ireland, upon his promotion to the position of first lord of the treasury, was adopted. A resolution looking towards the establishment of the church in Wales was then presented and adopted. The following fol-lowing resolution was also adopted: That having regard for the extraordinary extraordi-nary disproportion in the representation of Eugland, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in the imperial parliament as most desirable, that steps be taWen to redress these iniquities. |
