Mr. Whitney's great voice, was well : heard in "Three Fishers." In the lust verse he took K Hat aud he also gave that part of the song as an encore. Mrs. Agnus Olseu Thomas' beautiful voice was heard to advantage In a , Norwegian ballad. The Ladies' Mandolin anil Guitar club, under the direction of Mi-- s Kila Olsen, was vociferously applauded and the audienco was given the "Flower Song" as encore, which did iusiico to t the Goddess of Liberty. At this period Prof. Stephens an-nounced thst a photographer would tnko two sittings of tho Choral society and artists participating in the niaiineo. The organ solo "Schiller March" by Trofessor Uadciiire was rendered as be only can execute it Mrs. liessie Dean Allison exhibited her vocal qualities in the solo, "Romeo at the Tomb of Juliet" in a manner which received applause. W. E. Wei lie rendered a Hungarian air on ' the violin. His encore was "Home, Sweet Home." Misa Thursby's solo, "Ah! che la Spende," was artistically rendered. She wWTVcalled twice, lirsl'giving an echo song, and then "Twickenham Ferry." Mr. Whitney was heard at his best in "Hasten Vs Druids."' The maie mem-- j bers of the Choral were a good accom- - paniment. Whitney's encore, "Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep," caused the audience to thirst for auother verse, which was given.
