Show MGKffi)ADS A New Line Connecting with the Santa Fe is to Enter tbe Indian Territory Country. WHY THE R. G. W. 0FFICIAL3 SMILE What was Done in Five Minutes in Texas The News Among Local and Foreign Lines. The Choctaw Coal and Railway com- pany is pushing the construction of its connection with tbe Santa Fo road at Oklahoma City. The name of the Choctaw Coal and Railway company does not convey a particularly striking impression to the mind of the average man, but the road, nevertheless, is (intended to ultimately provide an outlet to the rich Indian territory ter-ritory country. The connection with the Santa Fe referred to above is at the eastern end of the line, and places it in connection with east and west traffic. It is the western end which is intended in-tended to bo carried forward until it intersects the Forth Worth at a point near Wichita Falls which has not yet been made public. Men with plenty of money are behind tho project, and all I the construction is oeing done in the most permanent way. The roadbed is solid, the rails heavy, and the ballasting superior to most of the great western trunk lines. The Choctaw railway is another example ex-ample of the rapid extension of the north and south systems of the country west of the Mississippi. It is a curious fact that the commercial relations of the southwest are being built up almost exclusively with the north instead of being carried east to the seaboard. The western empire may before long be in a position to carry on its business without much regard for the Atlantic cities. Cnck of the Walk. The suits have been dismissed and the authority of the association is unquestioned unques-tioned in the laud. Little Fall, it Southern.
