Senator Woleott, who has not been hero long enough to have ceased studying study-ing his fellow statesman, said the other day: "I have seen a good many aggregations ag-gregations aud types of human nature, but this is the most interesting body of men I ever came in contact with. Now, take thosb old fellows on the otherside of the chamber,, tho democrats demo-crats from the south. They are old fogies, everyone of them, sectional as hades, mean as the devil about appropriations appro-priations and all that sort of thing, antl yet so infernally honest and rotten poor that it makes ono proud to take them by tho hand. Now on this side of the chamber but 1 must not forget the requirements of senatorial courtesy." |
