Governor Thomas today appointed Cass Hite of Colorado Hiver, Gartield county, a notary public. George S. Marx and C. C. Leavens of Elmiru. N. Y., who are in the city today to-day go to Evanslon, Wyo., to conduct the Hotel Marx. It is expected that the Unitarian sociable so-ciable in the Walker parlor this evening even-ing will be largely attended, it being the lirst ever held in ion by that denomination de-nomination and preparations for which have been under w ay for several days. The Union Pacilie and Kin Grande Western will sell excursion tickets at half fare to Ogden and return on account ac-count of the sumi-anuual meeting of the Presbyterian church and the Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor from March 23 to 81. Tickets good to return until April 5. I W. W. McCoy returned this morning from Thompson Springs, Grand county, to Salt Lake, where he went to look after his cattle. Mr. McCoy reports the stock has wintered very well and is in excellent shape. He may ship to Omaha market some time in June. Mr. McCoy has received a letter from Livingstone, Liv-ingstone, Mout., which says the cattle in that section weathered poorly this winter. , J |
