From the sampl sent in from the Pugway (tialriet, it appears that the variety va-riety of ores there ia most uiiusuai. hi Kccles this moiuiug received a bos of specimens from some strikes in which he ia interested with William H. Ueui-mington. Ueui-mington. These are quite distinct from anything brought in from (iilson's mine. One specimen shown ia a heavy black oxide that will run OS per cent copper. The voin from which thin comes is fifteen fuet wide, half of it being pure on free from rock. Some specimens speci-mens from other claims owned by the same parties show carbonates, malachites mala-chites and aztireites of copper, oxides and carbonates of iron and sumo sueei-moiia sueei-moiia of quart, showing free gold. Only crude assays of the ore hare been made, but the quantities of it are immense, im-mense, all of the veins being from live to fifteen feet thick. |
