For some time past the members of the Christian church at Heyworth have been consideiing the introduction of instrumental in-strumental music into their choir service ser-vice and the church has been divided into two factions as a result. A few days ago a ballot was taken and by a small majority it was decided to buy an organ. Sunday, for the first time instrumental music swelled the song service of the church. Some time during last night the church wi.i broken open and the organ dragged iuto iu-to the street, where charred fragments of it were found in the morning. The instrument had been stuffed full of straw, on which kerosene had been poured and then set on tire. No clue has yet been found, but rewards have been offered for the identification of the persons implicated. , |
