Powers, the alliance candidate took the oath of office today, and it Is said the legislature will recognize him as governor, All the new state officers are recognized except the governor. Tom Major was installed as lieutenant-governor and president of the senate sen-ate under protest. Governor Boyd has been recognized by the new state officers offi-cers and they will report to him. , |
